Foster cats make great photo subjects. This little boy was captured against a black drop back and slightly underexposed.

Behind The Lens

Location

This image was taken at the botanical gardens in Singapore in 2016.

Time

The time was early morning, around 9:30am.

Lighting

Natural lighting with the sun to my left. The dense vegetation filtered some of the light.

Equipment

I use a Nikon D610 with a Sigma 35mm art lens, handheld.

Inspiration

As I wandered through the gardens I saw many shots but the arches made from vegetation caught my eye. The addition of the two ladies with umbrellas really made the shot. Ahead of them on the pathway were a few other people which I removed as they were a distraction.

Editing

Yes, removed walkers in the background and added a vignette.

D-610, 35mm, 70-200m, 105mm macro.

Feedback

Time of the day is very important for both the light and the pathway will be less crowded during early hours.
