When coming off a night shift I will often go for a wander in some local woods to sit by its pond and unwind before heading home for a sleep. I always take my camera and make sure I take a treat of bird seed for the resident wildlife. On this particular morning a grey squirrel came calling and was trusting enough for me to lie within a few feet of him while I snapped away, occasionally looking up from his meal to check me out. I spent a delightful half hour with him and he was a very obliging subject. This is one of the resulting images.
