Location
It was a bright tropical sunny day at my backyard when I clicked this picture. I was working on the reverse lens technique and this lady popped out of nowhere to just pose for me. She was absolutely still as if waiting for me to set my lens up to get the shot.Time
It was post lunch around 2 pm with nice sunshine in the backyardLighting
Although it was a typical tropical summer, I was able to position myself under partial shade to get a good enough soft lighting at the subject.Equipment
I used a canon-rebel-xs body with a reverse lens 55-250mm.Inspiration
I was experimenting the reverse lens technique with a reverse lens ring on the body and was looking for tiny insects and objects. The subject was nicely sitting on the flower and the contrasts helped me focus on it.Editing
A very minimal contrast touching on the subject. In my camera bag
This was 7 years ago and I have since moved to Nikon. I always have a full frame D750, a wide angle 16-35, a prime 50 ,1.4 and finally a 70-200mm f4 for outdoor portraits. Last but not the least a couple of ND filters for long exposure landscape shots.Feedback
If you haven't tried the reverse lens technique for macro, it would be an inexpensive alternative to the expensive macro lenses in the market. Make sure to get the reverse lens holder rings that attach to the body on Ebay or amazon (Should not cost more than 5 $).
