This photo was taken at the Glacier point view point in Yosemite at 7700 ft. It was amazing bright day and the views were breathtaking.Time
We took a ride to the glacier point from lower Yosemite mid-morning. It was already noon when we reached there. I wish i had walked to the edge of the rock in left to take a depth shot but realized it was not lawful and very dangerous. I got into the corner as much as I can to get this shot.Lighting
It was wonderfully bright and the clouds were a treat to look at. I had a circular polarizer fitted to my lens that helped render the nice contrast between the blue sky and the pristine white clouds edges.Equipment
I used a Canon - 70D with a 18-135 ISM lens and a Tiffen circular polarizer. It was a casual trip with my family and friends and did not plan for an actual photoshoot.Inspiration
I wanted to cover the Yosemite valley from as high as possible to get all the possible colors in the landscape. There is a usual spot in glacier point that is very stereotyped. I was not satisfied with the shots there (although the clouds added a nice touch. Photo is here: https://www.viewbug.com/photo/62575685). I walked a little bit more to the highest point and found this perspective which was very interesting. I wished I had stayed there longer with a better gear possible until the sunset time.Editing
There were some light post processing involved in Adobe lightroom. There were no presets used, just an adjustment of contrast and vibrance.In my camera bag
I am a long exposure fanatic, especially around seascapes. I am learning and trying to perfect my long exposure photography skills. I usually have a full frame DSLR (Nikon D750), a tripod, a wide angle lens (Tokina 16-28) with a wonder Pana 120mm ND32 filter (In case i decide to take a long exposure shot during mid day).Feedback
I am not a pro landscape photographer. I am a highly enthusiastic hobbyist. If you are interested in landscape photography, I would say give your full heart while taking the shot. Take your time to choose the perspective as it could do wonders to your shot. Do not take a lot of risks to take a photograph, It might be just right there.
