Location
the shot was taken in a large dark room.Time
the time was after 18.00 pm in the winter time, so no available lights around.Lighting
i work with different light sources -in this case we've used a kind of "ice-light" to give this mood.Equipment
this shot was done with a Nikon D810 and the 85/1.4 lens. no tripod, done in the move.Inspiration
my work is mostly emotional portrait work - so i'm inspired by the model, the situation and what i see trough the lens.Editing
my editing is almost the same. after a short check in LR i go to PS and do a soft beauty retouch. In my camera bag
in my portrait work, almost the "sensual" work i like to work with only 3 different lenses. 35/50 and 85mm. in 75% i love the available light. in the other cases i have an individual equipment like strobes and ice lights.Feedback
in my opinion it is easy to work with your model in less light situations when you explain before the shoot that you like to do something individual. i've instructed the model to give me different expressions after i've taken the light in the angel what i want to try and then i've choosen this photo later about the models expression. i think it doesn't matter what kind of light i've used in this shot (ice light or flash), more important maybe is to use the light not in conventional sense.
