I found this alien embryo while out walking. It was in the process of absorbing calcium and other minerals from rocks to produce it's exoskeleton. I'm sure It was getting bigger before my eyes! Even at this very young age it had tremendous strength! It was impossible to pry the rock from the grip of it's many tentacle like arms. It was even holding on to the rock with it's tail :-0

Sorry about the slow reply! It's the holdfast of some washed up seaweed. There were many of them on the beach that day. They all looked very similar.

You know, much of the ocean is undiscovered. Maybe you've discovered a new weird species and no one has taken note before because it does resemble seaweed so much.
