Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in downtown Chicago near Columbia College near the docks.

Time

The time of day was close to sun down. Maybe around 6-7pm

Lighting

I use to model back in the day and for any model lighting is everything for a photo. It brings depth and without good lighting a picture can be misinterpreted or just plain ruined. So the lighting being the key element an also being the best hours to take a good photo is why I feel this came out so great.

Equipment

Just a regular cannon camera with no flash.

Inspiration

I was with a lot of friends and some photographers. With me playing around enjoying the moment it led to looking Into the lens and seeing a image that I thought was pretty cool but I never thought it to be my favorite among my peers.

Editing

Not for me unless I’m doing a full out planned shoot. Like a photoshop that’s not nature or outside life.

In my camera bag

I usually have a cannon camera or sometimes I borrow cameras from friends but I also take photos on my phone. With the newer phones they are starting to have a little of the same Qualities as the big cameras.

Feedback

Think about what you wanna shoot and where but most importantly have fun. The best pictures are always from exploring, detail, and having fun.
