The trail to Angels Landing is steep and arduous. It can take your breath away as easily as can the scenery. There are many switchbacks along the way where you can rest and admire the view. You will eventually reach a plateau where you are about a half mile from the top. This is probably the most difficult part of the hike and many people will simply rest here and wait for their more adventuresome companions to finish the climb. The summit was aptly named "Angels Landing" by Frederick Fisher in 1916 by an explorer who quipped that no one but an angel could land on it"

The landscape itself is awe inspiring, making comparisons, scale wise, to yourself and the mountains around you.Editing
Originally a color photo that I desaturated and made some minor adjustments in Photoshop. In my camera bag
I would normally have a tripod, but because I knew this would be a strenuous hike I left it behind. I always have 2 cameras with me, The Nikon as well as Mirrorless Sony A-6000 converted to Infrared.Feedback
For mountain hikes, be aware of time needed to reach your destination and make a safe return. Know the terrain and difficulty of trails and know your own capabilities and or limitations.
