I was walking back to my hotel and it was late in the evening in Basel. I was crossing Messeplatz Exhibition Center which hosts Art Basel in June. It had this open dome structure right at the center. I learnt later that this was built from brushed aluminium clads the exterior of the building and has a textured surface to create the impression of a basket weave. A beautiful architectural object.
