Behind The Lens

Location

this photo was taken in our grandma's home in kurseong

Time

in the evening and with the lights off.

Lighting

i am fascinated about long exposures and variable lighting, and i did that here with my smartphone flashlight and my arm. It makes every output different and btw this shot was the first shot. The latter ones did not come out great.

Equipment

canon powershot SX160 IS, my mobile for lighting and a study table.

Inspiration

from time to time i would experiment on the variable lighting but i was not able to produce a "wow" image. This time i was about to start some experiments with the lights off but soon my sister entered and asked what i was up to. Then it striked me and i asked her to sit still for fifteen seconds and she did it perfectly in the first try, and this was it. She was happy, and i was very happy with the result.

Editing

i had to remove my lighting trail that i had left over the top and then few adjustments here and there.

In my camera bag

my powershot SX160 and a lumia 640 XL.

Feedback

as said earlier, the key is variable lighting where i use my arms to move around the light source over the subject with the long exposure turned on.
