Dear Amanda: Thanks for writing about the blue lanterns. The ancient seaport of Hoi An is noted for incorporating hanging lanterns into their architecture. They are hanging from trees and in homes and businesses, especially lovely at night. It is also one of the most popular tourist destinations in Vietnam, especially for Chinese and Japanese tourists.
