Behind The Lens

Location
The photograph was captured during a walk around with the camera at a nearby business park, which has ponds and little lakes dotted about it amongst all the buildings
Time
Probably early afternoon, if I recall correctly.
Lighting
The reflections in the water will show that this was a patchy cloud/blue sky afternoon.
Equipment
Nikon D7000 with probably my 'go-to' lens at the time the Tamron 18-270
Inspiration
Actually, this was a spur of the moment image as I'd intended to capture images of the swans on the water, but at the time, they had a nest on the opposite end of the pond, so, as I was walking along the water's edge looking for a spot to shoot from, I heard frantic splashing as the swan charged across the water. As I turned on the spot, this was the 2nd image from a quick burst that I captured, before backing away from the protective parent-to-be!
Editing
No, apart from the watermark (which I appreciate can be an eyesore), this image is straight from camera.
In my camera bag
At the time of this image, I probably had my Nikon D7000, a Tamron 18-270mm and a Nikon 50mm f1.8.
Feedback
When working with nature/animals, just be prepared for spontaneity; sometimes the best laid plans give you nothing and a spur of the moment shot can be your image of the day.
