The doorway and bell cote of the parish church of St Laurence at Tidmarsh in West Berkshire. The church building dates from the 12th century although there was apparently an earlier building on this site. The round-arched and beautifully carved Norman doorway leads you into a small nave paved with ancient floor tiles. Two of the nave windows have the remains of medieval wall paintings and on the chancel floor are memorial brasses. The bell cote is supported by carved oak timbers.
