This trip to Tanzania was... Hectic. I went both as a humanitarian Illusionist, and as a photographer.
I arrived in Kenya to realize, (to my horror) that my extra battery, and charger were sitting on my kitchen counter 2000 miles away. I had one battery to last two weeks travelling across arguably the most photogenic locals on earth!
I had to set my camera to what I thought the scene required, and then briefly turn on my camera, compose and snap a shot, and then turn it off without review.
My Battery lasted 13 days. And I was thrilled to see shots like these when I got home.

Beautiful shot and Horrifying story that turned out well. I would have freaked out if I left my extra batteries and charger at home. I can easily eat through a battery a day with my Canon EOS Rebel , 13 days with no charges is remarkable. It shows great restraint, patience and selectivity on your part.
