This is the Redcliffe Jetty in Brisbane, Australia. Redcliffe Jetty is one of the Moreton Bay Region's most identifiable landmarks, becoming an iconic part of Redcliffe peninsula's landscape since its construction in 1885! Over the years it has been used as the backdrop for many a 'Redcliffe' selfie, by both tourists and locals alike.Time
This shot has been taken just after a storm passed by, nearly at the same time with Sunset, but the storm clouds were covering the western side of sky, creating more darkness and drama.Lighting
I used the natural light, and the camera was put on long exposure mode to capture the long shutter speed of 25 seconds. I could have used ND filters for more drama, but as it was windy, it was also shaky.Equipment
Using a tripod, putting the camera on long exposure mode and also using a trigger instead of pushing the shutter button.Inspiration
This is one of the favorite spots for photographers, I actually wanted to capture the photos of the storm and some lightnings, but as the storm passed, I have seen the dramatic dark sky and set the tripod as low as possible to capture this dramatic sunset.Editing
Yes, I have added some clarity and sharpness in lightroom CC, along with working on highlights and shadows, and some contrast. Nothing else has been modified. The white balance was set on sunny day.(Around 5400K)In my camera bag
I currently have Tamron 16-30, Tamron 70-200 and Sigma 50mm, Manfrotto MK190XPRO4 Tripod and some ND filters.Feedback
Get your batteries charged and ready at all times, have some extra memory cards, and when it's raining, get ready to go out just after the rain as you see the most beautiful clouds later if the sky starts to clear up. For every location, watch other photographers photos and find the spot on google map, and be there one hour before the time that you want to take the photo.
