This abandon ranch was outside of Mammoth Lakes. During our visit, we drove by it multiple times, each time saying, "we should stop". Finally, on the last day, as the snow storm came over the mountains we stopped. I thought the photo would be less interesting without the blue sky of previous days, but in fact I found it more dramatic.

The few rays of sun getting through on the foothills behind the cabin help set-off the dark wood of the cabin.

This has foreground interest, many layers to keep it three dimensional, and then nice foggy mountains to fade into. Great composition and overall very well done.
