One thing I really wanted to see in Africa was a Cattle Egret following around a large mammal, any of the big five would have sufficed. In this area of Tarangire we saw them on all of the Elephants off in the distance. So when I spotted this Elephant walking close in our direction I thought (may have even voiced it aloud) "all this scene needs is a Cattle Egret". Just then this egret flew in, landed next to the Elephant and stayed by its side. I wish all wild animals were this easy to summon! September 15, 2016
