Years ago, I was strolling through our nearby park, when I happened on these three fellows, and chatting with them for a few minutes, discovered the back story to their team efforts.
Our town is known through Texas as one of the best for all races to live in. We have a unity which belies the great diversity of Mexicans, Indians, Blacks, Whites, Greeks, Italians, Japanese and Chinese all within 24 square miles of landlocked and largely residential community. There have been ony 3 murders here in the last 100 years!
Our town is not rich...with few exceptions we live within the budget of the vote of the city council. But it is remarkable for its quiet, and multi-cultural unity. Diversity in backgrounds, but one human race.
The humor and camaraderie was striking, as the story on the picture relates. Sometimes my trips through the grounds yields unusual sights and interesting views.
A moment of fun for these young men, and a pleasant image for me. Thank you guys!
