Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in the Kgalagadi South Africa

Time

Taken late morning in hash light but then the light is always hash in the Kgalagadi

Lighting

When the lighting is so bright the shutter speeds must be very fast 8000

Equipment

Canon 7 D MK1 old model, Lens 500 F4 MK1 old model .Photo taken through the cars window using a bean bag, no flash

Inspiration

The Kgalagadi is over populated with Springbuck when other wild animals are not available one thends to look for good shots of what you see. This one was in good condition and posing nicely.

Editing

Only a slite crop

In my camera bag

Canon: Cameras 1D MK 4, 7D MK1, 7DMK 2. 5D MK2. Lenses: 500 F4 MK1, 300 F2.8 MK2, 70/200 2.8 MK2 1.4 Converter

Feedback

I time is on your side make sure that you select the back ground nice and clean, move around to ensure you are in the correct position set the camera to the best setttings for the time of day. always use support for a long lens take one shot and check, reset if required
