When I was a kid my mom would tell me that it wouldn't snow until all of the leaves fall off the trees. I believed her, I would even go outside and shake the smaller trees to help get the leaves to fall off faster so it would snow.
Now that I'm a parent, I tell my 3 year old, when all of the leaves fall off the trees it will snow. So every time we go outside and he sees leaves falling off the trees he says in an excited voice, leaves are falling, snows coming!
