This is the staircase of the former San Francisco main public library, but when I went to photograph its regularity and good parallel, architectural lines,, I found the task difficult, so I went upstairs and on a walkway overhead looking down, waited with my Leica 35mm rangefinder for an exiting patron to just touch the edge of the frame line with the tip of his toe as he descended,and I fired just one frame, successfully, I think.
