It was the storm of the winter passing through the West Coast and directly through San Francisco, and with my 12-24 Nikkor wide angle lens set on a very wide setting I got down very low to the cable car tracks at one of two San Francisco Bay turnarounds on that rainy night, and as the cable car had turned around and began what was to become one of the steepest and longest ascents in all of San Francisco, I saw a chance to take a photo of color, reflection, and the surroundings, from an unusual angle. Note taxi and the world famous Buena Vista Cafe (bar) at right.
