I captured this photo while on a senior photo shoot for a client in Toronto, Kansas USA. This tiny pond has a story...it was frequented throughout my seniors life with her grandfather.Time
This photo was shot after the harsh sun went away in late afternoon for I don't shoot between the hours of 11 am and 4 pm cst. Hence this 5:00 pm shot.Lighting
The natural light bouncing off the water was all I really needed for this photo shot during the Kansas autumn months.Equipment
I only used a Panasonic Lumix FZ8 with a lens hood, handheld.Inspiration
The gorgeous Fall colors reflecting it's beautiful colors perfectly on this tiny fishing pond was all the inspiration I needed to capture it immediately.Editing
Post processing was achieved in Snapseed with just a touch of contrast boosted to make its colors really pop.In my camera bag
At the time of this photo I only owned one camera and lens hood, a tripod and that it is it! I was happy to take advantage of the gorgeous built in leica lens on this particular camera and never felt the need to invest In additional lenses for this model of camera.Feedback
Kansas is known for it's windy plains. Try to capture a reflection of water on the least windy days if you attempt a handheld quickie snapshot, as this one was. I shot this during a fall senior shoot when the leaves were multi colored and very vivid so I recommend fall time for an attempt at capturing a similar vivid scene at its prime time for your scene to pop.
