Heading for the Pacific coast we went through some of what folks called the high desert and I saw these views of how life was carried on in the high desert. We were traveling at around 55 mph so I just shot some scenes through a dirty windshield and the results reminded me of an old time postcard. Taken with a Canon SX30. Other than cropping I did not really change anything but I did have to smart erase a portion of the sky where my rear view mirror was marring the photo.

Not sure how to get feedback on my photos. This one was picked Top 30 week 1 but I am not sure what that means. If someone would be willing to teach me how to critique, it would help.. It's my photo so sure I do like it..
