I've never really taken any note of the undercarriage of a Christmas Beetle....very hairy and with actual eyelashes around their eyes......this little guy I rescued from the surf and just seemed to need time to get his energy before continuing on with the day!!!!

His only load to carry are the grains of sand !!!
