An old, ox drawn wagon slowly returns to the dust against the backdrop of the High Sierra Nevada Mountains. Why was the wagon abandoned? Did the party finally make it to it's destination? Did the wagon break under the weight of it's cargo? These and many other questions go unanswered as the Sierra Nevada Mountains claimed many pioneers during the gold rush years starting in 1849.
