Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken at home in my kitchen.

Time

At 2pm one afternoon

Lighting

I took this photo at 2pm, I had very nice natural light coming through the window in my kitchen window and I wanted to capture the bright color that is why I put the strawberries on a piece of white paper so that the color will "pop". I experimented with different angles to get the least amount of shadow and a nice "glow" on the strawberry.

Equipment

I used my Canon EOS 1100D. (no tripod). Natural light F-stop - f/8 Exposure - 1/160sec. ISO - 6400 Focal length - 55mm No flash

Inspiration

I had a bought a few strawberries the day before and was about to eat this particular ones but when I looked at it I just wanted to capture the color and perfection of how it looked. (I ate it after I got my perfect shot :-)

Editing

No post-processing!

In my camera bag

My Canon 1100D with my 50mm lens and a 80-300mm lense. I am no expert so I have only the basics...

Feedback

I am no expert. I enjoy the process of figuring out what will work for each picture. For myself I see a subject, then just play around with different angles, lighting and settings on my camera to create the best representation of what I wanted to capture. Every time I pick up my camera (my canon or even my cellphone) the situation/subject/lighting/exposure etc. is different and needs to be looked at on its own.
