Location
This photo was taken in Santa Cruz, Formosa Beach.Time
During the golden hour, approximately half an hour to sun set.Lighting
Santa Cruz is without any doubt one of the most beautiful seascapes in the west region of Portugal. In that afternoon the sun was not very intense, but the combination of the colors of the cliffs and the sand, in contrast to those of the sea that was agitated and full of texture were out of the ordinary and I tried to show all this in a single moment.Equipment
Body: Canon 5D MK III Lens: Canon EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM Tripod: Hama Star 63 166-3D Filters: NoInspiration
Some landscape photos that i´ve seen in viewbug and others group pages, where people show photos of the region were they live in such a passionate way that i try to retribute to them the same feeling about Portugal. Portugal is a small country but fully loaded of tremendous landscapes, and i honestly believe that Formosa Beach is one of the most beautiful coastline in this country.Editing
I did some post-processing, this photo for instance was a single shot, and i needed to adjust the highlights a bit down and open a bit the shadows, adjust the white balance to give a more real colour, and in the end adjust in some sports the clarity to give more texture in some areas. In my camera bag
I try to have a small bag when i go for an walk, and it depends really were i go and the time of the trip. Normally my first choice is always the Canon 5D MK III with a 16-35 f4, 24-105 f4, and a set of Cokin Filters, but when i need to have the lowest gear weight as possible, i go with the Canon 700D whit an 18-55mm or an 55-250mm lens.Feedback
I believe that planing the photo, such as the time of the day climate conditions etc are important, after reach the chosen spot you need to have "tons" of patience to wait for the right moment to take the right photo, and don't be afraid of moving around the place trying new spots and angles to take a shot. But the most important of it all, have passion for what you are doing, the results will come with time and practice.
