Location
This photo was taken in a country club in Harrisburg, PA. The club gave us permission to shoot anywhere, and we did. This particular part of the club was in the sun room lounge where it featured tall windows in a half circle room, allowing plenty of natural light into the room.Time
This was around midday when the sun was still at it's height in the sky, creating a soft light in the room from the southern sun. A beautiful view from the room, as well as the perfect light for soft images. I couldn't ask for a better location for natural light on interior.Lighting
The best part of the lighting for this image is it being natural light with no need for anything fancy, not even a reflector. Choosing the right time of day for the room to gather the southern sun was the only technical part of the capture. The room was painted yellow, which helped with the warmth of the image and soft glow.Equipment
Hand held Nikon D810, Nikon 24-70mm 2.8f lens, No flash, No tripod.Inspiration
The inspiration came from the dress originally. The model, Jessie, has a very elegant demeanor, and has a very regal look to her. I brought the hat to have as a prop and it worked out well with this image, giving her even more of a royal look. She looks like a princess, and capturing her in this way really gives that impression. Jessie's electric blue eyes, thick long brunette hair, perfect complexion, and natural beauty were inspiration enough, but add the dress and hat and she becomes an elegant princess.Editing
