Location
This photovwas taken on the coadt of Namibia.Time
The photo was taken early afternnon so the shadows weren't an issue.Lighting
I just went with plain old outfoor light...which is fabulous in Namibia.Equipment
I used nikon D5100 with a Nikor 18-55 mm lens. I did not use a bigger or fancier kens because we were hiking and I did not bring a Sherpa carrier to help me.Inspiration
There was a humongous flock of flamingos and the trucky part was isolating individual birds to avoid getting a big pink blur. I loved the calm waters that in which were wading.Editing
A small amount of cropping was all this photo took. That light was so wonderful!!In my camera bag
My bag has the usual stuff. My camera - usually a Nikon D5100 if I am "schlepping", a few different lenses, extra batteries, extra SD cards, a gigantic amount of lens wipes, etc. Weirdly, since I take pictures for an animal shelter, you will find squeakers, dog whistles, and dog treats (complete with tons of crumbs).Feedback
If you find something potentially interesting, go for it! You used to hear " film is cheap". SD cards are cheaper and reusable so if you don't get what you thought you wanted, you might gind something even better. Scan the whole image!
