I've seen loads of long exposure shots like this, but somehow this one stands out

Location
I took this photo at the end of a road trip in Dunsmuir, California very near Mossbrae Falls. I went to experience and shoot the waterfalls, but came away with this as a favorite from the trip.Time
This was very near sunset, on a mostly overcast and moody Northern California day.Lighting
I really enjoy the softer cloud covered light, especially for a long exposure image.Equipment
I shot this with a Sony a7ii, and a very wide Sony 10-18mm f4 lens.Inspiration
I had spent most of my time at the Mossbrae Falls shooting the beautiful waterfalls, but I've always been drawn the the leading lines of a railway. I had setup my tripod near the river crossing to capture the trestle when I heard the on-coming train. The timing was a blessing at the end of a 2 day trip.Editing
I use Lightroom for post-processing and tried to capture the mood without over processing. I generally edit by my mood or the overall feeling that the image conveys to me. The moody clouds and wind mixed with the moving train really brought this image together. In my camera bag
My wide angle lens is almost always in my bag. I also carry a fast prime lens 50mm, and a longer zoom to have a variety of possibilities.Feedback
Timing is critical in capturing long exposure of moving objects. I've become quite good at a 2 second delayed timer to trip the shutter if I don't have my remote shutter handy. In this case, I only needed 8 seconds of exposure based upon the speed of the train.
