Behind The Lens

Location

Went hiking with my husband at the time around Waterloo Iowa and this little patch of lit forest caught my eye and I snapped a picture of it for the good memories it brought back.

Time

Went during midmorning due to being really antsy and wanted to get out and start taking pictures around toen.

Lighting

The lighting was (or should I say still is?) All natural and cane out better than I was planning

Equipment

I used my Canon Rebel (cant remember off hand since I don't have the camera handy at the moment) and it was taken hand held option

Inspiration

The memories it invoked of when I was a kid and just being outside alot with my Dad (Navy Vet) and various friends while growing up.

Editing

The only editing done with this and most of my photos is just cropping. Don't like to have to do alot of editing afterwards. I'm kinda weird that way

In my camera bag

Normally I keep my Canon handy despite the fact I have it plus at least 2 other cameras to choose from.

Feedback

Make it a personal goal to capture something that speaks to you and if by chance the post editing is minimal even better. It does take time and lots of practice
