Sunrise at Thornton Beach in the Bay of Plenty, New Zealand. The water in the foreground is the Rangataiki River. The background water is a fresh water lake formed behind the sand dunes on the beach. It was difficult to get this shot without lens flare as i had no option but to take the shot almost directly into the sun. The centre line of the shot shows a sea mist coming onto the land in the background.
