Location
In Suffield CT where I use to live there was this place by the river that was just perfect for walks on such a lovely day as this. The walking/bike path was not very busy aside it being so warm for October and perfect day to leaf peep. It looked like a tunnel of trees around this path but it was actually just the way that I photographed it which made it really become what you see...Time
It was October 18, 2016 at 3:23 p.m. I stopped with my pup put up my tripod and saw this wall of color just dying to be photographed. The sun peeking through the leaves was such an added bonus and made the shot that much more delightful!Lighting
The sunlight peeking out in-between the trees creating a beautiful bouquet of light. The tunnel like effect was only then created with the deep shadows and light passing on through.Equipment
I used my Canon 70D with one of my favorite lenses: Tokina AT-X 116 AF Pro DX 11-16mm f/2.8.I had a lens hood on and had it mounted on my Vanguard Alta series 70 tripod. I had ended up loosing my lens cover after putting it on and then freakishly it pooped off rolling down the embankment towards then river. Being it was too steep for me to retrieve I had to leave it behind. I was not too happy about that but totally thrilled about the images I captured.Inspiration
Fall that year was perfect in color! I had been out all over shooting an decided to give this trail a shot. I was pleasantly surprised with beauty that encompassed me this day! It will be forever held in my memory being I have moved down to NC and won't ever experience this again aside from looking back over my photos.Editing
I believe used affinity photo and Luminar but cannot be certain of anything else being it was so long ago.In my camera bag
My normal equipment is my Canon 70D, 2 backup batteries, battery charger, a canon 480X flash, 17-55mm canon lens, 70-200mm F.4 canon lens, 85mm canon lens, 11-16mm Tokina lens, various filters and other misc supplies.Feedback
I found my best shots were early morning with the sunlight softly illuminating the trees or late afternoon into sunset for that added bold warmth of color that was added.
