there's nothing like the way the sound echoes off of the Smokies when the elk are bugling in the Cataloochee Valley. finding them standing in a frosty field at sunrise, and surrounded by the Falls colors of the mountains, is almost too much for a soul to take. one of the best mornings ever...and that's sort of a huge statement from a girl born and raised in these mountains.
