Behind The Lens

Location

This was taken after a summer storm in my back garden. I had just bought a new camera setup from a friend and I was experimenting with different shots.

Time

This was taken in the evening. The sky was thick with black clouds and there was an usual blue tinge to the light outside.

Lighting

The light outside had turned everything a strange blue colour which was picked up (luckily) by my camera.

Equipment

Sony A600 I cannot remember exactly which lens or flash but I also used a sheet of white paper to curled around the flash to direct the light onto the arm of the chair only.

Inspiration

I had bought a new camera from a friend and I was experimenting. I was quite impressed with the macro capabilities and wanted to experiment a bit more.

Editing

A little glare correction where the light reflected off the raindrops.

In my camera bag

I no longer have a camera but I am working on it! When I have one I'll let you guys know.

Feedback

I've noticed weather phenomenon that cause everywhere to turn slightly blue or red or yellow, it makes for interesting lighting. If you see it, grab your camera and shoot, play around and see if it adds another dimension to your photos. This photo was a complete fluke if I'm honest but I've intentionally shot a few photos since using what I learned here and they turned out great.
