This photo was taken on a late night winter walk in Stratford upon Avon, England. It was the first snow of the year.Time
It was the middle of the night. Snow had been forecast for some time after midnight so I waited up and when it started, I wrapped up warm, walked down a few country lanes behind my home and took a few shotsLighting
There were no light sources other than my flash. I relied on the fresh snow to reflect enough light to create the dramatic lines.Equipment
This was taken with a Samsung S3 phone, I didn't have any weather protection for my camera at the time and did not want to take it out in a snow storm.Inspiration
I was walking along using the flash on my phone as a torch as it was so dark. The light caught the snow on the branches and I thought it looked like a large bird with wings spread, sat on a branch. I took the photo in the hopes of capturing it.Editing
