Every week, my roommate and I go on sunset walks from our apartment down to the beach and we pass this small wooded path that always catches the light by kaitlyn_briggs

Behind The Lens

Location

This shot was taken in an underground car park on the south coast of England. It was part of a story for a chain on health clubs.

Time

We had been shooting for two days and this was the last setup. It was shot about 5.00pm and everyone was tired but we knew it was a cool setup.

Lighting

I used two elinchrom elb 400's. The one you can see has just a spill dish then I used another strip behind me and got down.on the floor.

Equipment

Shot on a Nikon D810 handheld lying on the floor.

Inspiration

I have worked very closely with the client to ascertain the style they wanted. I knew if we shot.liw and wide into the flash close to a large concrete wall we would get that effect.

Editing

Photoshop. Pushed contrast and clarity and slight desaturation.

Feedback

Be prepared to get dirty. Get down on your knees and push your face against the pavement. If it doesn't hurt then it isn't worth shooting.
