Visiting friends in Pokhara Nepal in 2014, they have an amazing view of the Annapurna range from their balcony. They told me that they only get a clear view like this about 10 days a year, while I was there I got 4.
Machapuchare is also known as the fish tale mountain because seen from another view point a 2nd peak on the mountain makes it look like a fish tail
The mountain is considered holy and climbing it is now forbidden.
