When my father in law died, we had to wait until we had dealt my wife's death to inter him. It has been three years, and while I see the beauty of the solemnity marking the passing of both people, I realize that our family will never completely recover from either the rush of their absences, nor the emotional exhaustion which now accompanies every remembrance.
