The perfect end to a great day of harvest on the Canadian Prairies

Found a little or red foxes on my farm - they are living in the bale stacks helping me with my rodents counts - there are 4 in the litter and this one

There are 6 Short Eared owls along a 3 mile stretch of backroad - when you are careful you can sneak up close and capture their beauty

Canadian prairies are known for their grain production - this is barley left standing at sunset

This tree is a local landmark - all alone on the edge of huge farmers field and a dirt backroad - you can see the backroad marked in the snowdrifts by

Burning left over grain swaths that were not combined last fall gave off some interesting flame shots - converted to b&w in post

Mother licking off her new offspring - making sure to get every inch cleaned off - for in just a short span of time - these little ones are off an run

This is a diving gull that went after some lunch - it dived so fast that I just happened to capture the wings out of the water

Train passing through my hometown - elevators are closed - so most of the grain cars are shipped to bigger centers - only producer cars and oil tanker
