From a drive yesterday (23 Sep 2016) down the Old Sydney Road which leads north from Mickleham Road on the way to Wallan, north of Melbourne. The Hume Highway can be seen way off in the distance and just over the hill where the trees are is the town of Wallan. This Canola stood out as a beaming yellow field from over 10 km away with the overcast skies, quite a spectacular scene and the growth a result of the strong recent rains.
