I think that, with a little post processing, this picture would be much better. There is much room for improvement.

Thanks for the feedback. Yes a contrast and saturation change would make this pop more. I prefer not to post process tho. I don't even like to crop.

Location
This photo was taken from the outlook at Signal Hill in St. John’s, Newfoundland. I’m facing to the Narrows (the opening into the harbour)Time
This is at about 2pm local time in JulyLighting
It was all natural light. I was just lucky the weather was holding.Equipment
That’s straight out of the camera and taken with a point and shoot. Canon PowerShot SX270. It was that or a crappy iPhone at the time.Inspiration
It was just a opportunity of a lifetime to take it. And it all came together well.Editing
Nope. Straight out of the cameraIn my camera bag
Normally I travel light, nowadays. I have my iPhone (only an 8 right now), and I usually have an Adonit Grip and some Ztylus prime lenses to attach to it. If I’m on vacation or actively planning to take snaps I bring my Canon M10 mirrorless and the stock lens and my zoomFeedback
Keep a camera on you at all times. The latest and greatest isn’t necessary, but that said learn your camera in and out, as most have manual modes and even your phone have manual controls available built in or through and extra app.
