You know all too well the feeling, that is, shoulders hurting from a heavy 20kg pack, sweaty socked feet increasingly sore & indicating points on the sole where water blisters are growing ever larger with every forward step you take on a 3-4 hour hike.
Of course, you would never openly say to your fellow hikers that you are secretly suffering in pain, but the look of sheer relief, as you then finally first glimpse the place of your reached destination, says more than any words ever will.
You wipe your brow & will your aching feet to move a dozen or so more paces, to a place they call heaven.
