When developing my section & looking to build a large shed on my backyard, the builder was at first eyeing up my native Lancewood tree, to fell & make space for the foundations.
I told the builder as politely as I could, that under no circumstances, was my beautiful native tree to be touched. I had guessed its age to maybe 50-60 years old, maybe slightly more.
My Lancewood now stands directly over the northern end of my new shed & many glorious afternoons have been spent consuming some tasty cups of coffee & reading books, while the hot sun filters through its jagged edged, long leaves.
