Location
Out for a walk along the Bow River just outside city limits of Calgary AB with my dog when this view looked interesting.Time
It was a beautiful late summer day. We had a early afternoon walk that took my Boxer and I a km or so along the always scenic Bow River south of Calgary.Lighting
I used a lens hood without flash against the south western skys.Equipment
I used a Nikon D5200, a Nikon DX 55-200 lens with a multi coated UV filter. No tripod used.Inspiration
Many shots were present that day. On our return walk I spotted this scene. It looked busy but with a mysterious look. I had to lean out a bit over the edge to capture the upright and the fallen overhanging logs. I used the lens shroud to keep the afternoon sun off the lens.Editing
a bit of vignetting and color adjust for effect. In my camera bag
I usually have my camera, 55-200 and a 35mm lense in my bag.Feedback
I try to be ready for that shot that can go by fast. Have the camera handy with an appropriate lens.
