I became a bit of obsessed with the night sky, and was able to get a good view of the Milky Way while staying in Karijini National Park, Western Australia. Having lived my whole life in an urban environment, I've never been able to see the Milky Way until this moment. Our society has caused so much light pollution that we aren't even able to see the stars on most nights. I wish we could all shut off our lights for 5 minutes every night just to be able to see our vast our universe is.
