I was messing around in the studio. With some lights. A single Redhead tungsten light, a flash head and a piece of card with hoes in it.
The card is held up in front of the flash head whilst it is triggered.
The hardest thing is to get the lights balanced together. A little bit of trial and error gives some lovely warm results.
