This is a common house Sparrow with a colour difference it frequents my back garden on a daily Basis. As you can tell I have already nicknamed it Blondie, because of its colour variation.
This is a real house sparrow, and was not colour adjusted in Photoshop.

I was so fortunate to have this sparrow visiting my back garden whilst I was out with my camera.

Behind The Lens

Location

The image was shot in my back garden, at home here in Scotland. The sparrow is much lighter in colour to the rest of the Sparrows that frequent the garden. Hence the name Blonde.....

Time

Not quite sure what time it was shot in the early afternoon.

Lighting

It was shot in natural daylight. Without the use of filters, or any reflectors etc. Which I have set in the camera WB at 5600 K.

Equipment

I did however use a tripod for the support of my camera, and it's lens....

Inspiration

It's just so unusual to see a common House Sparrow that is so pale in its colours. Not quite the albino, however seems that it could be heading in that direction.

Editing

The image was cropped and edited in Photoshop RAW. Highlights and shadows increased very slightly, so as not to detract from the natural feel of the image....

In my camera bag

Nikon D810 camera body. Nikon 14-24 mm f2.8 lens. Nikon 24-70 mm f2.8 lens. Nikon 70-200mm f2.8 lens. Nikon 50mm f 1.8 lens Nikon SB910 Speedlight. Various triggers, diffuser's and Filters etc Spare memory card's and batteries etc.

Feedback

The only real advice that I can give is be patient and watch closely. The image will appear. Moreover you must always remember that it's easier to take a bit out of your images. It's a lot harder to put things back into an image.
