Location
This was taken in southern Quebec in a group of yellow flowers along a road. A Monarch butterfly was roaming about and stopped right in front of the photographer.Time
This was taken around noon time on a bright sunny day.Lighting
Clear sunny day at mid-day for maximum illumination. This allowed small aperture and great depth of field.Equipment
A Canon 70D camera equipped with a 100-400mm L-series zoom lens.Inspiration
The large colorful Monarch butterfly contrasting with the deep yellow flowers. Nature at its finest.Editing
No post processing. In my camera bag
Equipment mentioned earlier, plus a doubler and a Tamron 17-280mm zoom lens. Occasionally I travel with a tripod.Feedback
Got outside and play. The more you go out on nature walks, the better your chances at spotting the unusual.
